La Ritornanza

La "ritornanza" è un fenomeno che si sta verificando un po' in sordina ... ma con sempre più frequenza.

La prima volta che ne ho sentito parlare è stato nel libro MARINA BELLEZZA di Silvia Avallone, dove i protagonisti sono giovani che tornano a popolare i paesini delle valli alpine abbandonati dai loro genitori. Quello era solo un romanzo, oggi però la "ritornanza" è una realtà. Bella, secondo me.

La descrive in dettaglio il Corriere della Sera nel suo inserto del sabato, intervistando molti giovani trentenni che tornano a vivere nei borghi del sud, nei paesini degli Appennini, nelle isole, prendendo in mano le attività dei padri, restaurando le case dei nonni, ritrovando il gusto del ritmo lento della vita. Alcuni sono giovani che erano andati via e ora tornano con un bagaglio di esperienze in più (il detto siciliano CU' NESCI ARRINESCI significava proprio questo, prima che qualcuno lo trasformasse in un "vattene e non tornare più").........altri sono ragazzi nati e cresciuti all'estero, ma con il desiderio di rivivere la vita dei propri nonni.

Non si sa ancora se e quanto questa "ritornanza" avrà effetti sul Paese. Non si sa se le assurde leggi di questa sempre più assurda Italia finirà per scoraggiare anche questi volenterosi avventurieri del ritorno. Resteranno al punto da avere dei figli a loro volta? Sopravviveranno al massacro delle tasse e controtasse?

Non lo sappiamo. Ma, insieme agli immigrati, sono proprio questi "ritornanti" quelli che possono provare a regalare un futuro a una nazione che, al momento, non ne ha.

The "RITORNANZA" (coming back) is a phenomenon that is occurring quietly ... but with increasing frequency.

The first time I heard about it was in the book MARINA BELLEZZA by Silvia Avallone, where the main characters are young people who return to populate the villages of the Alpine valleys abandoned by their parents. That was just a novel, but today the "coming back", the "return" is a reality. A beautiful one, in my opinion.

An Italian newspaper, Corriere della Sera, describes it in detail in its Saturday magazine, interviewing many young people in their thirties who return to live in the villages of the south, in the villages of the Apennines, on the islands, taking over their fathers' businesses, restoring their grandparents' houses, rediscovering the taste of the slow-pace life. Some are young people who had left and now return with a wealth of experience (the Sicilian saying CU' NESCI ARRINESCI -who goes away will have success- meant exactly this, before someone transformed it into "go away and never come back").........others are young people born and raised abroad, but with the secret desire to relive the life of their grandparents. It is not yet known if and to what extent this "return" will have effects on the country. It is not known if the absurd laws of this increasingly absurd Italy will end up discouraging even these willing adventurers of the return. Will they stay to the point of having children of their own? Will they survive the massacre of taxes and super-taxes?

We do not know. But, together with immigrants, it is precisely these "returnees" who can try to give a future to a nation that, at the moment, has none.

“RITORNANZA” (el regreso) es un fenómeno que se está produciendo silenciosamente... pero cada vez con más frecuencia.

La primera vez que oí hablar de esto fue en el libro MARINA BELLEZZA de Silvia Avallone, donde los protagonistas son jóvenes que vuelven a vivr en los pueblos de los valles alpinos abandonados por sus padres. Aquella era sólo una novela, pero hoy el “regreso”, el “retornar” es una realidad. Una hermosa, en mi opinión.

Un periódico italiano, Corriere della Sera, lo describe con detalle en su revista del sábado, entrevistando a muchos jóvenes de 30 años que vuelven a vivir en los pueblos del sur, en los pueblos de los Apeninos, en las islas, retomando los trabajos de sus padres, restaurando las casas de sus abuelos, redescubriendo el sabor de la vida a ritmo lento. Algunos son jóvenes que se fueron y ahora regresan con un gran bagaje de experiencias (el dicho siciliano CU' NESCI ARRINESCI -quien se va tendrá éxito- significaba exactamente esto, antes de que alguien lo transformò en "vete y no vuelvas nunca").........otros son jóvenes nacidos en el extranjero, pero con el deseo secreto de revivir la vida de sus abuelos. Todavía no se sabe si este "retorno" tendrá efectos en el país y en qué medida. No se sabe si las leyes absurdas de esta Italia cada vez más absurda terminarán por desanimar también a estos voluntariosos aventureros del retorno. ¿Se quedarán hasta el punto de tener hijos propios? ¿Sobrevivirán a la masacre de los impuestos y superimpuestos?

No lo sabemos. Pero, junto con los inmigrantes, son precisamente estos "retornados" los que pueden intentar dar un futuro a una nación que, por el momento, no lo tiene.
